Bird Cults Committing Mass Suicides in Three States

As mentioned in my previous post, the red-winged black birds of the southern United States mysteriously and unanimously decided to die in flocks of hundreds to thousands over Arkansas and Louisiana. They're off to a better place-- a large park bench in the sky, per se.

But for those of us left here in this Earthen realm, their carcasses provide mental as well as economic stimulus as we hire companies to clean them off our streets; it begs the question: have we truly entered the twilight zone? Did the Aliens instill the birds with a deadly fear of fireworks??? After the birds and the fish, will the aliens come after... us???

Michio Kaku, author and professor of physics at the Community University of New York, does what he can in the video featured above to rationalize the situation and dispel our fears. The cause must be either, a) chemical poisoning, b) pathogens or disease, or c) blunt trauma. But then he goes on to say it was probably weather related... And that unlike people, birds follow their leaders religiously...

And so if the leader goes down, so does the whole flock. As to the true source of these birdy heart-attacks, all we can do is follow the lead...

  1. Have you heard about the massive fish suicide? Some are relating the two to a biblical plague. Silly Tea Partiers.

  2. Great voice in this post. Watch the bolding though. It should be used sparsely for only small groups of words, otherwise it loses its effect. ALL CAPS and italics are also great ways to emphasize text. You can use all three to show just HOW CRAZY YOU ARE!!!

  3. This story is really fascinating. Your emphasis on the birds as mindless followers reminds me of some research I discovered on youtube about religion (or a religious complex) as a neurosis or disorder or the brain. Check it out.

  6. Don't worry, we're helping animals achieve their dream of extinction. Specifically, by using chemical weapons on them. Soon the pesky problem of non-human things on the planet will be solved!
