New Cult Classic Exhibits the Passion of Tennessee Williams

The Room can best be described the narciss-artistic retarded love-child of writer, director, producer, lead actor and mystery man Tommy Wiseau. While he spent literally millions in the movie’s production (believing he was crafting a dramatic masterpiece), the obvious green screening, reuse of stock footage and set designs are… numbingly painful.

Thankfully, masochistic mediaphiles have turned this melodramatic anomaly into the next Rocky Horror of the midnight movie scene; throwing spoons and screaming, "Because you're a woman!" has become routine. The film’s beauty lies in the bizarre cadence of Tommy Wiseau’s voice, and in the myriad of awkward encounters that add nothing to the plot— except of course sex, drugs, football, and chocolate-induced make out sessions. If you love the hilariously awful, The Room is a must see. Buy the DVD online or join the crowd THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT at the lush Inwood Theatre in Dallas, TX!
